China Power ups gross and net generations

China Power ups gross and net generations

The consolidated gross generation of China Power’s power plants amounted to 8,593,368 MWh for the first quarter of 2009. The number represents a year-on-year increase of 0.66 percent. Meanwhile its consolidated net generation of 8,011,887 MWh represents a year-on-year increase of 0.48 percent.

The figure excludes the power generated by the power plant of International Development Limited’s associated company.

The change in the gross generation for the first quarter of 2009 was mainly attributable to the start of operations of units 1 and 2 of Dabieshan Power Plant, the weak power demand, and more plan repair arrangements of generating units.
