Optical fibre network to be installed in Northeast India

Powergrid will install an optical fibre ground wire network for Northeast India.


Final requirement of OPGW as 1901 kms at an initial cost of Rs Rs 56.36 Crore is already finalized.

Northeastern states could not arrange the fund from its own resources. Therefore North East Regional Power Committee has resolved to approach North Eastern Region for funding this project.
