NTPC starts providing electricity with 500MW Haryana plant

The National Thermal Power Corporation began operating the 500MW thermal power plant in Haryana, India.

 

Power from the project will serve the electricity needs of the states of Haryana and Delhi in equal measure.

The plant is one of the three units that are part of the Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project, which will have a total installed capacity of 1,500MW.

Work is underway on the remaining two 500MW units that are part of the project.
