Xuzhou’s ultra-supercritical unit starts operations

The first 1000MW unit of Xuzhou Power Plant Phase III commenced commercially after completing a pilot run.

Called ultra-supercritical by China Resources Power, the unit was subjected to a 168-hour full load pilot run. The plant is fully equipped with environmental facilities, including desulphurization and denitrification facilities.

Xuzhou Power Plant Phase III is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Coal supply will be sourced from Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong and Anhui provinces and transported by railway to the plant. Coal will also be sourced from local coal mines in the Jiangsu province. Electricity generated by the plant will be supplied to the Jiangsu provincial grid under East China Grid. Chine Resources Power owns an effective 59.86 percent equity interest.
