China and Israel forge closer renewable energy ties
Executives from solar energy companies in both countries have met in an effort to increase business cooperation.
Top executives from Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd., the world’s largest maker of solar panels based in Beijing, met with executives of Israel’s solar energy sector to increase the dialogue on solar energy between both countries.
The meeting was arranged by the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute and included executives of the Israeli companies Pythagoras Solar Ltd., Solaris Synergy Ltd., Watts and More, Ltd., bsolar Ltd., and SolarBead, Ltd.
Suntech CTO Dr. Stuart Wenham noted that Israel is a growing market in the solar energy industry and Suntech hopes to deepen the dialogue with Israeli companies in the field to better understand their technologies and expand Suntech’s activities.
The Export Institute said that Suntech should be viewed as a natural partner for supplementary solutions offered by Israel's solar power industry. It is pleased that Suntech has identified Israel as a technology powerhouse, besides Suntech being a target market for Israeli exporters.
