Tata Capital unveils solar-panelled forest in India

This is for renewable energy promotion.

According to a report, Tata Capital inaugurated a solar panelled forest at its Thane campus. The first-of-its-kind move targets promotion of energy conservation and aims to propel the use and development of sustainable energy resources.

 

The solar-panelled forest boasts of six solar-panelled trees which will run the garden and security lights in the Thane campus from morning until evening. 

According to a company release, this will produce nearly 750 watts of energy.

“Our aim is to replicate the initiative across the country, beginning with Tata Capital office premises,” Mukund Rajan, Brand Custodian and Chief Ethics Officer, Tata Sons, said in respect of the move to install the eco-friendly technology.
