India's Jindal Synfuels pushes through with 1125MW coal-to-liquid plant

Jindal Synfuels Limited is moving ahead with its coal-to-liquids project that would include a mega captive power plant.

The plan will be implemented amid a row over coal block allocations.

The Ministry of Environment & Forest has prescribed terms of reference for environmental impact assessment  for the 1125-MW captive power plant for JSL’s CTL project.

To be set up in Angul district of Odisha, the CTL project would have a capacity to produce 80,000 barrels per day of petroleum products.
