South Korean firm to build US$2.1B Kazakhstan power plant
Samsung Engineering had won a US$2.1 billion order to build a power plant in .meet growing energy demand.
Under the deal, South Korea's Samsung will build a thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,320 megawatts in southern Balkhash by 2018, Samsung said in a statement.
“Samsung Engineering is looking forward to being part of the modernization of Kazakhstan's power sector and furthering the strong ties between the two countries,” it said.
