China, Rusia sign contract for Tianwan nuclear projects

China and Russia has formalized their agreement for the construction of units 3 and 4 Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant. 

 

 

The contract was signed by Mr.Jiang Guoyuan, the general manager CNNC Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation, and Beleniki, the president of Russian AtomStroyExport, during the fifteenth regular meeting between the prime ministers of China and Russia held in St.Petersburg, Russia.

Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin witnessed the signing. It signifies that units 3 and 4 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant is now in the implementation phase.

China and Russia has previously cooperated in the construction of Phase I of Tianwan Nuclear Power plant.
