CPI to help build Chongqing energy system

CPI signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on 10GW Units with the Chongqing Municipal Government.

According to the agreement, CPI will play an active part in constructing a medium and long term energy guarantee system for Chongqing. The two parties will make joint efforts to promote the preliminary works and construction of a series of projects, including Fuling Nuclear Power Project, Hechuan Phase II and Phase III expansion project and Tiantai Aluminium Phase II.

The signing not only demonstrated the trust and support of Chongqing Municipal Government to CPI, but also indicated that the two parties have intensified and deepened their strategic cooperation based on their long-term friendly cooperation. CPI will focus on building a clean, economic and reliable energy system for Chongqing municipality, so as to make greater contributions to making Chongqing an important economic center in upstream Yangtze River and west China.
