First unit of Lianyuan Power Plant starts operations

The first 300MW generation unit of Hunan Lianyuan Power Plant commenced commercial operations after passing a 168-hour full load pilot run.

Located in Lianyuan City of Hunan Province, the Power Plant is a mine-mouth project sourcing coal from the local areas. It is comprised of two 300MW coal-fired generating units equipped with desulphurisation and denitration facilities.

Electricity generated by the Power Plant will be supplied to the Hunan provincial power grid under the Central China Power Grid. The approved on-grid tariff is Rmb445/Mwh, inclusive of VAT.

China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited owns 100 percent equity interest in the Power Plant. It obtained approval for the plant's constrution in March last year.
