Hanhwa Energy and Korea Midland Power to build 150MW US solar plant

Construction is expected to start in 2019 and end by 2020.

South Korean conglomerate Hanhwa Energy and utilities firm Korea Midland Power will develop a 150MW solar power plant in the US by 2020, Yonhap News Agency reports.

The firms did not disclose the size of investment in the plant. Hanwha Energy will handle the development and power generation of the plant, whilst Korea Midland Power will contribute its know-how in power generation to Hanwha.

The construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in December 2019 and to be completed in Boulder City, southeast of Nevada.

When finished, the plant is expected to generate electricity for 30,000 homes in Nevada.
