L&T to build gas-based power plant for GSECL

L&T to build gas-based power plant for GSECL

L&T will build a gas-based power plant in Gujarat under a US$240 million EPC contract for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation.

The firm will design and manufacture critical equipment for the 375MW plant and will take care of project management, construction, installation and commissioning.

L&T-Sargent & Lundy, a Larsen & Toubro subsidiary, will use its Sargent technology for plant integration and detailed engineering.

L&T Power's Gas-Based Power Projects Business Unit will execute the project, which will be commissioned within two and half years, after receiving approval for the project.
