Mengdong Energy gets 2000MW wind farm deal

Mengdong Energy Group got the right to develop up to 2000MW wind farms in the Chifeng Alukerqin region.

An investment agreement signed between Mengdong Energy and the Chifeng Alukerqin League government provides that a 1000MW Class wind farm should be completed for production by 2017. This is a first 1000MW wind power base for Mengdong Energy Group and a firm step on its way to reserving wind power resources. The wind farm is planned to cover an area of about 1500km2 with the installed capacity of 2000MW.

According to the development principle of overall planning and phase by phase construction, Mengdong Energy Group will endeavor to get approved at least 50MW prior to March 2011, and no less than 200MW will be developed every year after 2013, so as to ensure that by 2017, a 1000MW wind farm will be completed for production.

The acquisition of this wind farm resource lays a solid foundation for Mengdong Energy Group to adjust power mix and promote clean energy industry.
