New Energy kicks off 2 wind projects

New Energy kicks off 2 wind projects

China Power New Energy will start generating electricity from its two new wind projects by end of 2010. The Gansu Guazhou Beidaqiao 5th Wind Power Project and Qiaowan Sannan Wind Power Projects further consolidate the company's scale and strength of wind power.
The company has vigorously promoted the strategic development of new energy and made remarkable achievements.

Both adopting 1.5MW wind power generating units, the planned capacity of Beidaqiao 5th Wind Power Project and Qiaowan Sannan Wind Power Project is 201MW and 99MW respectively, and the electricity they generate will be transmitted through the northwest power grid.

The two projects are expected to begin generating electricity by the end of 2010, at which time they will provide a firm guarantee to enhance the company's core competence and build up a transcendent brand of new energy.

According to the general requirement of China Power New Energy, the company will strictly implement the "four major controls" and go all out to build an exemplary project of wind power generation.
