Macau residents took the opportunity to voice their views on energy conservation during the seminar

CEM assists residents on energy conservation

CEM joined hands with Kong Fook On Building Management Committee to hold a seminar entitled “Harmonious Community and Safe Use of Electricity”.

The event was meant to encourage residents to recognize the importance of maintenance of electricity equipment in public space of buildings, to impart knowledge of safe and economical use of electricity, as well as to promote the development of a harmonious community.

Companhia Electricidade de Macau Customer Services Department Engineer Dave Leung discussed ways to save electricity, while Customer Services Department Officer Deolinda Ma introduced CEM customer services including the different scope of service areas, tariff categories and channels to reach CEM. Among the attendees were CEM Customer Services Department Senior Manager Keegan Cheang, Customer Services Department Metering Services Manager Lam Ion Chong, and Customer Services Department Customer Contact Centre Manager Jane Leong, who answered questions and listened to the advice from the floor.

Many citizens who attended the seminar seized the opportunity to voice their opinions. CEM Customer Services Department Senior Manager Keegan Cheang stated that these seminars were held to improve the citizens’ knowledge about electricity safety and conservation, and to strengthen communication between CEM and customers, as well as to arouse public awareness of electricity safety to build a harmonious community.

The persons-in-charge of co-organizers include Technical Support of Housing Bureau of SAR Director Chan Wah Kiang, North District Service Center of General Workers Association Deputy-Director Chio Lan Ying, General Residents Association of Macao Vice-President Simon Wong, all extended their gratitude to CEM for offering such precious opportunities to improve citizens’ knowledge about CEM’s services.
