Tata Power achieves full load generation for unit 1 of Maithon RBTPP

Tata Power  completed coal firing in unit 1 of 1050 MW Maithon Right Bank Thermal Power Project in Dhanbad, state of Jharkhand.

 

The full load coal generation at unit 1 has also been achieved after the synchronization of the unit under standard requirements. The unit is scheduled to have commercial operation in first half of year 2012. Work on the balance of plants components is likely to be completed by first quarter of 2012.

Tata Power has signed a connection agreement with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited  and significant progress has been made for laying down power evacuation lines. In total, 96% work was completed by first half of this year for the power plant.
