Saudi Prince interested to invest in Bangladesh's power sector

Saudi Arabia is interested to invest in Bangladesh, including its power sector.

This was relayed during the visiting Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel here.

Prime Minister Hasina has sought more Saudi investment in Bangladesh's infrastructure, power and energy, tourism and hospitality sectors.

"The investment could be under government to government, public-private partnership or joint venture," she said.

The Saudi Prince noted that Bangladesh has a strong economy that remains on the right track despite the global economic meltdown.
