ReneSola appoints Huang as president of Asia-Pacific region
Jijun Shi and Stephen Huang and Jijun Shi have been promoted by ReneSola to new executive positions.
Stephen Huang will now serve as ReneSola’s VP of wafer sales and will lead as president of the Asia-Pacific region, while Shi will now serve as president of the European region. Further, Zhidong Zheng, the company’s VP of wafer technology, was promoted to senior VP while Paul Li, JC Solar president and senior VP of ReneSola has retired. Li plans to continue with the company in a consulting role through the end of June.
Shi hold over 25 years of management experience in Europe, including more than 10 years in the solar industry. He was most recently a senior manager at EGing Photovoltaic Europe and formerly worked as purchasing manager for the Asia-Pacific region at Pairan Elektronik. Additionally, Shi worked in managerial roles at Krahn Chemie and Hasbach Prufanlagentechnik. In his early career, Shi worked for China International Trust and Investment Corporation. He has a bachelor’s degree in German from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, a master’s degree in German from Shanghai Tongji University and a degree in business administration from Frankfurt University.
Xianshou Li, ReneSola's chief executive officer, commented, "I would first like to thank Paul for his invaluable service over the past five years. He has been a key element of ReneSola's growth. He helped lead the development of our module business through the acquisition of JC Solar. Moreover, we are pleased to keep Paul as a consultant through the next six months."
Li continued, "Mr. Huang, who has been with us for two years, has proven himself an excellent VP and will serve well as president of the Asia-Pacific region. These newly-created positions will help to enhance our sales and marketing capabilities, strengthen our foothold in key regions and drive our solar module business. "
