Vestas names new APAC regional president

Purvin Patel has succeeded Clive Turton.

Danish wind turbine manufacturer and service provider Vestas has appointed Purvin Patel as the new regional president for its Asia-Pacific operations, effective from 15 February.

With more than 25 years of commercial and operational leadership experience under his belt, Patel will join Vestas after being the CEO of ISS UK & Ireland.

He also has held leadership roles at Walmart, Kingfisher Group (UK), and RadhaKrishna Foodland.

Patel has succeeded Clive Turton, who left the company after helming Vestas Asia-Pacific since 2017, an announcement read.

Commenting on the appointment, executive vice president and chief sales officer Juan Araluce said: “Wind and renewable energy have become mainstream, and Purvin’s solid operational background will be a strong asset as we broaden our presence in the region’s existing fast-growing markets and leverage our joint venture in Japan.”
