JERA, NTT Anode to buy Green Power Investment

The transaction will be completed by the end of 2023.

JERA and NTT Anode Energy signed an agreement with Pattern Energy Group to acquire its affiliate in Japan, Green Power Investment (GPI) including its other renewable business it owns to be finalized by end-2023.

In a statement. JERA said the transaction will enable the companies to collaborate in improving the corporate value of GPI using NTT Anode’s resources for onshore wind and JERA for offshore wind.

GPI is a renewable energy power generation in Japan that owns and operates six renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 337 megawatts, of which, 56MW were solar and 281MW were onshore wind.

The company also has two projects that are under construction with a total of 192MW capacity–80MW is onshore wind and 112MW is offshore wind.

About 1,500MW of onshore wind power is under development.
