GUIDELINES
1. Each nominee can nominate for a maximum of three (3) entries only.
2. Awards will be judged by esteemed industry experts based on nominations received.
3. Each nomination form is valid for 1 entry only. If you are nominating for several categories, please enter each entry separately.

ELIGIBILITY
Companies and organisation may submit any innovative water initiative, project, or plant that:
- has been completed either partially or fully, within the 12 calendar months of 2024
- was completed and launched prior to 2024 but had recent innovations for further improvement
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
For entries that will be submitted under the Engineering Excellence of the Year and Water Company Excellence Award categories, please refer to the following criteria:
1. Achievements:
- What notable achievements can be attributed to the company in terms of delivering reliable, efficient, and sustainable water services?
- How has the company made a significant impact on water management practices, such as water resource conservation, wastewater treatment and reuse, or innovative approaches to address water challenges?
- Can the company showcase tangible results and outcomes that highlight its contributions to social and environmental well-being, such as community engagement, water education programs, or environmental stewardship initiatives?
2. Challenges & Solutions:
- How effectively has the company identified and analysed key challenges in the water sector, such as water scarcity, ageing infrastructure, or regulatory compliance, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the context and problems being addressed?
- What innovative solutions and strategies has the company employed to overcome the identified challenges, such as advanced technologies, efficient management practices, or collaborative approaches?
- How has the company demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and the ability to find practical solutions in navigating obstacles or adapting to changing circumstances in the water sector?
3. Innovation:
- What notable technological innovations have been introduced by the company project in water operations, such as smart water management systems, advanced water treatment methods, or digital solutions for data collection and analysis?
- How has the company fostered business model innovation, including innovative financial approaches or partnerships that contribute to sustainable water service delivery, resource optimization, or improved customer experience?
- Can the company project provide examples of collaborative innovation, such as partnerships with research institutions, government agencies, or other industry players, to drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and collective impact in the water sector?
For entries that will be submitted under INITIATIVE / PROJECT CATEGORIES please refer to the following criteria:
1. Uniqueness & Innovation:
- How does your project or initiative introduce new and innovative approaches, technologies, or practices in the water sector?
- What aspects of your project demonstrate originality, inventiveness, or out-of-the-box thinking in addressing water challenges or achieving water management objectives?
- In what ways does your project utilise cutting-edge solutions, state-of-the-art technologies, or novel methodologies that differentiate it from conventional approaches?
2. Effectiveness & Impact:
- To what extent has your project achieved its stated goals and objectives in terms of water management, conservation, or service provision?
- How scalable is your project? Can it be replicated or scaled up to have a broader impact on water management practices or addressing water-related challenges?
- What are the positive outcomes and benefits delivered by your project to various stakeholders, including communities, industries, ecosystems, or the broader society?
3. Dynamism:
- How has your project demonstrated adaptability to changing circumstances, such as evolving water demands, climate change, or technological advancements?
- Describe the level of collaboration and partnership established with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, NGOs, or private sector entities.
- How do you ensure the long-term viability of your project, including its sustainability and its potential to endure and continue delivering positive impacts over an extended period?
HOW TO ENTER?
1. Go to the online nomination form of Asian Water Awards.
2. Fill out the form with details about company and entrant.
3. Choose your category.
4. Provide the project title and 500-word write-up.
5. Upload 3 high-resolution project photos
6. Should you wish to provide supporting documents to substantiate your entry, upload them in the online nomination form or send them on or before 1 August 2025 to [email protected].
- The supporting documents must be in pdf, powerpoint and/or jpg format; Google drive, Youtube.com or Vimeo.com links must be provided if you are sending supporting videos.
Upon hitting the SUBMIT button, you will receive a nomination confirmation to your email containing the details of your entry.
