The awards will be given in the following categories in each country.

GUIDELINES
1. Each nominee can nominate for a maximum of three (3) entries only.
2. Awards will be judged by esteemed industry experts based on nominations received.
3. Each nomination form is valid for 1 entry only. If you are nominating for several categories, please enter each entry separately.

ELIGIBILITY
Companies and organisations are encouraged to submit their overall achievements from the past year, as well as any projects or initiatives that meet the following criteria:
- Completed either partially or fully within the 12 calendar months of 2023.
- Completed and launched prior to 2023 but have integrated recent innovations for further enhancement.

- How effectively has the entity understood waste management challenges?
- What creative strategies has the entity used to overcome challenges?
- How has the entity adapted to changing circumstances in waste management?
Innovation
- What notable technological innovations has the entity introduced?
- How has the entity innovated its business model to support sustainable waste management?
- Can the entity demonstrate partnerships driving innovation in waste management?
Initiative and Project Award Categories
Uniqueness & Innovation
- How does your project or initiative introduce new and innovative approaches, technologies, or practices in waste management?
- What aspects of your project demonstrate originality, inventiveness, or out-of-the-box thinking in addressing waste challenges or achieving waste management objectives?
- In what ways does your project utilise cutting-edge solutions, state-of-the-art technologies, or novel methodologies that differentiate it from conventional approaches?
Effectiveness & Impact
- To what extent has your project achieved its stated goals and objectives in terms of waste management, conservation, or service provision?
- Can it be replicated or scaled up to have a broader impact on waste management practices or addressing waste-related challenges?
- What are the positive outcomes and benefits delivered by your project to various stakeholders, including communities, industries, ecosystems, or the broader society?

- How has your project demonstrated adaptability to changing circumstances, such as evolving waste management demands, regulatory changes, or technological advancements?
- Describe the level of collaboration and partnership established with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, NGOs, or private sector entities.
- How do you ensure the long-term viability of your project, including its sustainability and its potential to endure and continue delivering positive impacts over an extended period?
HOW TO ENTER?
1. Go to the online nomination form of Asian Waste Management Awards.
2. Fill out the form with details about company and entrant.
3. Choose your category.
4. Provide the project title and 500-word write-up.
5. Upload 3 mid-resolution project photos
6. Should you wish to provide supporting documents to substantiate your entry, upload them in the online nomination form or send them on or before 2 August 2024 to [email protected].
The supporting documents must be in pdf, powerpoint and/or jpg format; Google drive, Youtube.com or Vimeo.com links must be provided if you are sending supporting videos.
Upon hitting the SUBMIT button, you will receive a nomination confirmation to your email containing the details of your entry.

What can I nominate?
Companies and organisations are encouraged to submit their overall achievements from the past year, as well as any projects or initiatives that meet the following criteria:
- Completed either partially or fully within the 12 calendar months of 2023.
- Completed and launched prior to 2023 but have integrated recent innovations for further enhancement.
How do I nominate?
You can send an entry via the online nomination form where you have to fill in details about your company and the product that you wish to enter. You also have to submit a 500 word write up summarizing your product details and why it should win an award.
Can I submit multiple projects or initiatives for one category?
Yes, you may submit a maximum of 2 entries per category.
Can I send two or more entries for our company?
Yes, each nominee can submit for a maximum of three (3) entries. One online form is equivalent to one entry so if you are nominating multiple entries, please enter each separately.
How many winners per category?
Only one winning company will be honored per category within each country.
Is it free to nominate?
