Gervasius Samosir is a Partner at YCP Solidiance, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has over 10 years of experience across various industries such as Digital, Power & Energy, TMT (Telecommunications, Media & Technology), and Banking. Previously, Gervasius had worked for strategy consulting and market research firms where he led several projects with leading companies in ASEAN. He has also supported large multinational organizations, mainly within the domain of market entry, growth strategy, and business transformation and implementation projects. Gervasius is the author of YCP Solidiance's publication including "Electric Vehicles in Indonesia: The Road towards Sustainable Transportation" and "Top E-Commerce Cities in Asia", and has joined multiple regional events including Asian Power Awards 2020, Digital Summit SEA 2021, and Tech in Asia 2018. He holds an MBA from The Asian Institute of Management, Philippines, and a B.Sc from President University, Indonesia.

Tim founded Energy Strat Asia in Singapore in 2019 focussed on supporting specialist services and technology companies in the energy, oil & gas, infrastructure and transportation sectors. His local and international client base includes innovative companies planning on developing and growing their footprint in Asia. For start-ups and scale-ups he supports the development and execution of his clients’ customer and investor propositions.
He spent over two decades in KPMG in roles establishing and building the Energy & Natural Resources sector practice. Joining in the United Kingdom 23 years ago and transferring to Singapore in 2012 where he launched the KPMG Global Energy Institute for Asia Pacific. From 2000-2009 he was the sector’s global Executive Director under a period of rapid growth; based in London from 2000-2005 and the Middle East from 2005-2012.
He leads relationships with large energy companies interfacing with government, regulators, academia and financial players. He has project experience in strategy, risk, deal advisory and management consulting.
External Industry sector roles include:
- Management Board Member of the Energy Studies Institute at National University of Singapore
- Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce, Energy & Utilities Business Committee in Singapore

In his roles with KPMG he coordinated relationships with leading industry bodies such as the World Petroleum Council and the patron’s program with the World Energy Council and led activities at their Congresses.
He is a regular participant at the Singapore Energy Summit at the Singapore International Energy Week, hosting the regulatory session in 2019, the Low Carbon Economy panel session in 2020, and the Regional Interconnectivity panel in 2021. He moderated the Technology Development for Energy Transition panel at the Singapore-IRENA Summit in 2021 and the COP26 and Net Zero commercial opportunities ThinkTank Roundtables in 2020 and 2021. He chaired the Asian Downstream Conference dialogue session at SIEW in 2021.
He has moderated the ASEAN Energy Dialogue series with the International Energy Agency’s Executive Director. He is a regular panellist on Diversity & Inclusion roundtables. He has strong interest in Urban infrastructure development and Energy Transition.

Sanjeev leads our Oil and Gas Group for the Asia Pacific Region, and is based in Singapore. He is also Energy Market Segment Leader for ASEAN and a Strategy and Transactions Partner. Sanjeev’s current focus is on servicing firm’s clients operating in the Energy Sector across the region, especially Oil and Gas and broader Energy Sector comprising Metals & Mining, Power and Utilities, Renewables and Chemicals.
He possess over 28 years of professional experience working with the Big Four and was previously based in diverse markets including Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and India. Sanjeev has widely travelled (>130 countries) in serving his clients operating across the globe.
He has rendered Assurance, Advisory and Consulting services on several complex projects to Energy Sector Players, Super Majors, National Oil Companies, large Independents and other corporations operating in the Energy industry, and across the value chain, encompassing upstream, midstream, downstream, oil field services, trading, marketing, treasury, shipping, logistics and storage.
He has also been extensively involved on the firm’s Strategy and Transactions business, and has lead over 400 transactions across the region and in global market place aggregating over US$350 billion in value.
He possess in-depth knowledge of Energy Sector and has authored Asia Pacific Energy, Utilities and Mining Investment Guide providing information on fiscal regimes and investment considerations across various markets within the region. Sanjeev also possess deep knowledge of upstream and downstream sector, and in particular of the production sharing contracts and broader relevant fiscal regimes in multiple jurisdictions.

How do I nominate?
You can send an entry via the online nomination form where you have to fill in details about your company and the product that you wish to enter. You also have to submit a 500 word write up summarizing your product details and why it should win an award.
How many winners per category?
Only one (1) winning company will be awarded per category for every country ie. "Refinery Project of the Year - Singapore".
Can I send two or more entries for our company?
Yes, each nominee can submit for a maximum of four (4) categories.
One online form is equivalent to one entry so if you are nominating multiple entries, please enter each separately.
What can I nominate?
