NMDC Energy wins triple awards at Asian Oil & Gas Awards 2025

The company was recognised for advancing safety through AI, driving decarbonisation, and executing large-scale onshore projects.

NMDC Energy won Digital Transformation Initiative of the Year - UAE, ESG Initiative of the Year - UAE, and Onshore Initiative of the Year - UAE in the Asian Oil & Gas Awards 2025.

The company earned the Digital Transformation Initiative of the Year - UAE for its AI-Powered Site Safety Monitoring System, which combines computer vision and vision-language reasoning in a unified platform. Achieving over 97% precision and recall, the system surpasses industry benchmarks and delivers real-time vigilance across unsafe acts and conditions. Within its first quarter of deployment, it cut high-risk exposures by 65% and eliminated the need for tens of thousands of manual audit hours per project.

In the ESG Initiative of the Year - UAE category, NMDC Energy was recognised for its contributions to the Hail & Ghasha Development Project. As an offshore execution leader, the company helps deliver infrastructure designed to capture 1.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, produce low-carbon hydrogen, and draw power from clean grid energy. The project also created meaningful opportunities for UAE nationals, supporting skills development and career growth for local talent.

The Onshore Initiative of the Year - UAE award, meanwhile, acknowledged NMDC Energy’s delivery of critical assets for the Hail & Ghasha development, constructed in collaboration with joint venture partners and subcontractors. These facilities support the production of natural gas at a scale that meets the daily demand of several countries. With on-island construction activities and logistics managed to top safety standards, NMDC Energy continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening regional gas supply security whilst enabling the energy transition.

Together, these achievements highlight NMDC Energy’s adaptability and long-term vision, combining digital innovation, execution reliability, and sustainability-forward practices to deliver complex oil and gas projects at scale.
