AMG, RWE partner for annual green ammonia supply from India
Up to 250,000 tonnes will be supplied annually.
RWE Supply & Trading and AM Green Ammonia (AMG), a subsidiary of the AM Green Group, have signed a long-term agreement for the supply of up to 250,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually from the latter’s production plants in Kakinada and Tuticorin in India.
Initially, Kakinada will produce 50,000 tonnes per year, with the remaining 200,000 tonnes coming from Tuticorin in the future, RWE said in a statement.
Deliveries from AMG's facilities are expected to begin in 2027. A detailed offtake agreement between the parties will be finalised to outline the contractual terms.
“RWE is committed to investing in hydrogen and its low-carbon derivatives to help industries achieve their climate goals,” said Costas Papamantellos, head of International Hydrogen Investments at RWE Supply & Trading.
“This agreement emphasises AM Green’s ability to align itself with an innovative and flexible contracting structure in line with commodity trading practices,” said Mahesh Kolli, group president of AM Green.
