NTPC boosts solar capacity at Khavda projects in Gujarat

The solar energy expansion strengthens India’s renewable footprint nationwide.

Solar power capacity has increased at the Khavda solar park in Gujarat, India, NTPC Ltd. announced in two filings.

The Khavda Solar Energy Project achieved a commercial operation of 37.925  megawatts (MWs), whilst the Khavda‑I Solar PV Project achieved 243.66 MWs, bringing the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group to 85,503 MWs.

These additions further NGEL’s expanding renewable energy footprint and support India’s broader clean energy transition goals.
