NTPC Green Energy, Nayara Energy ink MOU for green hydrogen collaboration
The green hydrogen will help Nayara Energy accelerate its decarbonisation.
NTPC Green Energy Limited and Nayara Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to partner in exploring opportunities in green hydrogen and other areas of green energy.
In a statement, NTPC said the partnership aims to work towards green hydrogen production for Nayara Energy’s captive usage, decarbonisation acceleration, and carbon footprint reduction.
This is also in line with NTPC’s goal to develop hydrogen projects in India and the country’s vision to be self-reliant.

“Green Hydrogen would be a crucial element of India's clean energy future, and with this partnership, we will explore and implement cutting-edge technologies to produce Green Hydrogen, contributing to a cleaner and more resilient energy landscape,” NGEL CEO Shri Mohit Bhargava said.
“Through NGEL, we are dedicated to expanding our Green Energy portfolio, and this collaboration exemplifies our relentless pursuit of a greener and more sustainable future for the nation,” the CEO added.
