Bangladesh gets $380M power project loans

The Islamic Development Bank will provide two loans worth $380 million loan to Bangladesh for two power projects.

 

The Ashuganj Power Station Efficiency Improvement Project' will have an alocation of US$200 million, while $180 million will be provided for the ‘Construction of Bhola 225 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project’.

Separate loan agreements were signed between Iqbal Mahmood, Senior Secretary, Economic Relations Division of Bangladesh and IDB president Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali signed the deals on behalf of their respective sides in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia..
