Vestas receives 56 MW order in India

Vestas will provide 34 units of V82 1.65 MW wind turbine for the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project in Karnataka. The contract comprises supply and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA system as well as a 7-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery is scheduled to start during the fourth quarter of 2010, and the project will be completed during the second quarter of 2011.

The order has been placed by Tuppadahalli Energy India Pvt Ltd, which is a Special Purpose Vehicle created by Acciona Energy India for the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project.

Acciona is an existing customer of Vestas India. Prior to this order, Acciona has commissioned a total of 18 V82-1.65 MW turbines equaling 29.6 MW in the state of Karnataka, India. This 56 MW wind farm in Karnataka, is Acciona’s third project with Vestas in the State of Karnataka, India.
