Aboitiz Power to boost reach of retail electricity supply arm
It expects deals for an estimated 800MW by 2020.
Philippines-based independent power provider Aboitiz Power revealed in a recent press conference that it is expecting to seal contracts for around 800MW by 2020. This will expand the company's retail electricity supply reach. The expected 800MW worth of deals is equivalent to a fifth of its target net sellable capacity of 4000MW by the same year.
CEO Erramon Aboitiz said the company currently has around 500MW of capacity tied to its customers.
The IPP is currently developing projects with over 900MW capacity and expects to finish the 68.8MW Manolo Fortich hydro power plant in Bukidnon.
