It has received environmental impact assessment approval.
Taiwan Green Power (TGP) and Germany-based wpd are jointly developing an offshore wind farm site off Changhua with a planned installed capacity of up to 600MW, according to a press release.
LeaLea Group, which owns TGP, has already received the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval.
Further, Thai Electricity Generating Public Company (EGCO Group) has bought a 25% stake in Yunlin Holding, owner of the 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm, from wpd. The project will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase to be completed by end-2020.
