CEM help edimprove citizens’ understanding of safe electricity usage by putting up propaganda posters. The efforts focused on the importance of regular inspection, maintenance of communal electrical installation, and knowledge of management of public power equipments, as well as the rights and responsibilities of the customers.

The Companhia de Electricidade de Macau  joined hands with the General Residents Association’s building management resources center, Property Management Business Association of Macao and North District office of Macao Federation of Trade Unions in putting up propaganda posters  in more than 300 buildings across Macau.

CEM Customer Services Department Senior Manager Keegan Cheang said that as many customers do not know about their rights and responsibilities for the communal electrical installation, CEM expects to present the knowledge in this regard to its customers through posters, so that customers can have a better understanding of their responsibilities of partial power equipments.

Meanwhile, Keegan Cheang called on customers to pay attention to the importance of regular inspection and maintenance of communal electrical installation, in order to avoid power supply failure or fire accident, and ensure the public safety of entire buildings as well as the reliability of power supply.
