NTPC starts full commercial operations at 245 MW Nokh solar project

The first part was commissioned in early June.

NTPC Limited has announced that the second and last part of the 245 megawatt (MW) power capacity at Plot-3 of the Nokh solar project has commenced commercial operations.

According to a disclosure, the recently commenced capacity is composed of 52 MW of solar power.

The Nokh Solar PV Project (3x245MW) is located in the state of Rajasthan. The first part of its capacity, which is around 193 MW, began commercial operation on 9 June.

“With this, the total standalone and group commercial capacity has now become 60,318 MW and 81,420 MW, respectively. Total standalone and group installed capacity has now become 60,978 MW and 82,080 MW, respectively,” the company said.
