NTPC taps SEforALL for energy transition strategy
The plan will include modelling of different scenarios and investment estimates.
NTPC has signed an agreement with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) to formulate the company’s plan for energy transition.
In a statement, NTPC said the roadmap will include modelling of multiple scenarios reflecting short-, mid- and long-term strategic horizons, estimating investment needs, identifying diversification opportunities and the socio-economic benefits that come with shifting to cleaner energy systems.
NTPC has committed to the UN Energy Compact, including installing 60 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
The company’s energy portfolio is primarily from thermal power plants, but it has also increased its share of renewable energy through solar, wind and hydro installations.
