Singapore electricity tariffs to fall 3.3% in October-December
Lower cost of natural gas caused the tariffs to fall.
Electricity tariffs will fall 3.3% or 0.79 cent per kWh starting 01 October until 31 December, SP Group announced. This was mainly due to the lower cost of natural gas compared with the previous quarter.

The tariff for households will likewise drop to 23.43 cents per kWh from 24.22 in the same period. With the additional 7% GST, it will cost 25.07 cents per kWh.
The average monthly electricity bill for families living in four-room HDB flats will slide down by about $2.84.
All households can enjoy lower electricity tariffs with the bills for those living in HDB1, HDB2, HDB3 and HDB5 rooms set to fall $1.06, $1.40, $2.11 and $3.31 respectively, whilst those residing in apartment, terrace, semi-detached and bungalow homes can see electricity tariffs drop $4.15, $6.57, $8.55 and $16.70 respectively.
