Bangladesh boosts rural electrification
PGCB boosted its rural power supply with its Niamatpur 132/33 KV Grid Substation and Nawgoan-Niamatpur 132 KV Transmission line.
The inauguration of the transmission line and the substation will improve the overall power supply scenario of the Rural Electrification Boards in Madna, Mohadevpur, Porsha, Shisha, Shapahar of Noagaon district; Enayetpur, Nachul of Chapai Nowabganj district and Tanor, Kaliganj of Rajshahi district.
The project was executed by Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. from its own fund for US$ 11.4 million.
A 45.35 km 132 KV transmission line and one new substation having 100 MVA capacity have also been constructed under the project.
