ENEOS and Tohoku Power starts 42 MW wind farm
The project could meet the power demand of around 23,100 average homes.
ENEOS Renewable Energy (ERE) and Tohoku Electric Power Co., through their joint venture, have started the operation of the 42-megawatt JRE Miyagi Kami Wind Farm.
In a statement, ERE said the power plant, operated by joint venture GK JRE Miyagi Kami, could produce around 101.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, meeting the demand of about 23,1000 average households.

The project could also save around 44,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
ERE and Tohoku started collaboration in 2020 to develop several onshore wind projects and the Happo Noshiro Offshore Wind Farm in the Tohoku region.
