CEM and GDSE will cooperate closely to ensure Macau power supply

To cope with the Hengqin overall development plan and the related municipal construction projects, the natural gas importation to Macao will be temporarily suspended starting from 1 June 2011 for 190 days.

 

With the coordination of Energy Sector Development Office, CEM has made contact with Guangdong Power Grid to ensure the local power supply quality being unaffected. CEM will activate all the generating units according to actual needs.

According to CEM Communications and Public Affairs Office Senior Manager Iun Iok Meng, the company will find ways to avoid that the Tariff Clause Adjustment that will be affected by the natural gas temporary suspension.
