CEM expects Macao's power consumption to rise 5%

CEM predicted that Macau's total power consumption will rise up to 5%.

The Macao Post Daily quoted Un Iok Meng, senior manager of CEM Communications and Public Affairs, as saying that the electricity consumption around the city in the first six months of this year has increased 4 percent.

Un noted that the power peak season would be in the middle of this month and that the utility would step up the checking of its electricity network to keep its service stable.
