Local energy firms expand into new Asian markets
As local workloads slow, collaboration and innovation drive regional diversification.
Facing reduced project activity in 2026, Dragon Geosciences Group is shifting its focus toward emerging Asian markets to sustain growth.
“The amount of work for next year looks a lot less than what I anticipated,” said Christiaan Johannes Keevel, Operations Director of Dragon Geosciences Group. “So we are diverting to other regions, like Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam.”
Keevel emphasised that rather than competing head-to-head with rivals, the company values cooperation within the sector. He underscored the need to foster innovation and attract new talent to meet future energy demand.
Organised by TAITRA and the Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance (GESA) under SEMI, Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025 was held from 29 to 31 October 2025 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
