China power consumption hits 4.19T KWH in 2010

China’s power consumption totaled 4.192 trillion kilowatt hours in 2010.

 

 

Out of the total, 2.3 percent or 98.4 billion kilowatt hours were used by primary industry, 74.7 percent or 3.13 trillion kilowatt hours were used by secondary industry and 10.7 percent or 449.7 billion kilowatt hours were used by tertiary industry, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.


Guangdong province ranked first in China by power consumption volume last year, using 406 billion kilowatt hours, followed by Jiangsu province, which consumed 385.6 billion kilowatt hours.

China completed power investment worth US$106.89 billion billion in 2010.
