Matthew Heling
Matthew Heling has over 10 years of experience in the energy sector in fields spanning project finance, energy technologies, and energy markets. At Pöyry, Heling has led electricity market analyses, tariff and wholesale price forecasting, and financial modeling of generation assets for projects in countries across Southeast Asia. His past positions include six years at Pacific Gas & Electric Company in Northern California in technical, policy/strategic, and economic roles focusing both on utility-scale power plants as well as distributed generation, and more recently, in Project Finance at SunEdison.
Heling holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis; an M.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Irvine; and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Melissa Brown
Melissa Brown is a Hong Kong-based Asia energy analyst for the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA), former securities analyst at JPMorgan and analyst at Citigroup. Brown has played a leading role in various Asian investment organizations focused on mainstream and sustainable investment strategies for public and private equity investors over the past 25 years.
Michael Joseph
Michael has over 25 years of career involvement in the power industry in combined cycle plant operations in Malaysia, and since then has progressed through engineering, sales, and management positions in Malaysia and in Europe, most recently in Business Development and Sales for Long Term Service Agreements including O&M Contracts in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to that he also worked in power plant performance monitoring, developing improvements in diagnostics followed by Integrated Power Plant Lifecycle Management to give Owners a greater insight of their assets. He is also an active Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and held various leadership positions.
Currently he is the Sales Director for SEA and GCC at SS&A Power Consultancy AG.

Michelle Chaewon Kim
Michelle Chaewon Kim is an Energy Finance Specialist, South Korea at IEEFA. Over the past 15 years, she has worked across various energy and commodity sectors in Singapore and South Korea.
Before her tenure at IEEFA, Michelle spent more than 11 years at S&P Global Commodity Insights and IHS Markit in Singapore, where she served as a senior market analyst, focusing on Oil, LNG, and Petrochemicals. She also held positions at Ernst & Young's Energy M&A Advisory team in Korea as an assistant director and at Korea Economic Daily as a business reporter.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and a Master of Science in International Business from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
