Germany supports Philippine RE program

Cooperation will allow the Philippines to address power problems.

Philippine Ambassador to Germany Maria Cleofe Natividad noted Germany's readiness to help the Philippines tap its potential in the development of renewable energy.

“Germany remains as a country’s partner in the development of renewable energy," she said.

"They have been providing assistance in terms of opportunities in solar, biomass, and wind energy.".

Philippine and German companies are cooperating to expand the Philippines' installed photovoltaic output. Both sides are exploring the potential for PV-hybridization and the market potential for promoting solar energy solutions for off grid areas.
