Thais asked to invest in Pakistan’s energy sector

Need to also promote consultation among their businessmen.

The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is urging the private sector in Thailand to explore business potential of Pakistan and take advantages of opportunities offered by the energy sector for investment.

FPCCI President Zubair Ahmed Malik urged the governments of Pakistan and Thailand to promote bilateral relations. He also stressed the need for promoting liaison and consultation between the business circles of both countries.

Efforts should also be made to identify and remove barriers that bar the promotion of bilateral trade and investment, he said.

Bilateral trade volume between both countries is only US$1 billion despite the fact that Pakistan is South Asia's second largest economy while Thailand is a 500 million consumer market.
