2025 Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan highlight renewable innovation, sustainability goals
It featured 450 exhibitors and nearly 1,600 booths.
The 2025 Taiwan International Smart Energy Week (Energy Taiwan) and Net-Zero Sustainability Expo (Net-Zero Taiwan) has drawn about 20,000 industry professionals over three days.
The events featured 450 exhibitors and nearly 1,600 booths, and welcomed 1,200 overseas buyers – a 60% increase from last year. The five countries with the largest number of foreign visitors were Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Canada.
Organisers said the exhibitions provided a platform for collaboration between government, industry, and academia to advance net-zero initiatives in Taiwan and the region.
A key focus was on practical solutions for energy transition, including renewable power, hydrogen applications, smart energy storage, and AI-driven grid management. The new Energy Lab allowed participants to explore case studies and interactive demonstrations, helping companies translate net-zero plans into actionable strategies.
Multiple forums addressed pressing challenges and opportunities in sustainability. These included solar and energy storage integration, offshore wind industry competitiveness, climate resilience and carbon reduction, and green finance strategies.
The discussions also cited the need for cross-sector collaboration and innovation to achieve Taiwan’s net-zero goals by 2050.
The exhibitions also featured national pavilions from the UK, Belgium, Denmark, and the Netherlands, highlighting global collaboration in renewable energy technology. Specialty zones showcased energy efficiency measures and green electricity trading, reflecting Taiwan’s commitment to sustainable development and practical decarbonisation efforts.
Event organisers emphasised that the goal of the exhibitions was to accelerate the country’s energy transition, connect international expertise, and promote actionable solutions for industries pursuing net-zero targets.
Next year’s editions will be held from Oct 14–16, 2026, at Nangang Exhibition Hall 1, aiming to further strengthen Taiwan’s position as a hub for green energy and sustainability in the Asia-Pacific region.
