Malaysia awarded 1,228MW large scale solar projects

66 bidders were successful for the projects.

Malaysia has awarded large scale solar projects with capacity of 1,228MW under auctioning programme to 66 successful bidders.

The projects are predicted to be commercially operated between 2018 to 2020.

Acting Deputy Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Devamany S. Krishnasamy said that the auction exercise, which was introduced two years ago, demonstrated a "healthy price decline."
