India prepares for new batch of solar power projects

India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy deliberated on the guidelines to be issued for the next batch of solar power projects, envisaged to have a capacity of 300 MW.

 

The meeting was attended by about 250 participants including the project developers, Engineering Procurement and Construction  companies, solar manufacturers, financial institutions and State Government officials, and members from the Ministry of Power and Planning Commission.

During the course of the meeting, the project developers also requested for support for construction of transmission lines.
