Bangladesh installs 1,000 solar home systems daily

More Bangladeshis are installing solar-home systems at villages.

Thisy has reduced pressure on national-grid power supply.

According to a report, about 1000 SHS are being installed everyday lightening more villages with all other modern facilities based on SHS power supply.

“It turns out all that small solar has achieved something quite big and in November Grameen Shakti, a renewable energy company of the country, hit one million SHS installed,” reprots Huffington Post, a famous American news website.

Grameen Shakti is busy installing nearly 1,000 solar-home systems each day, added the report.

Bangladesh does prove that deploying solar makes the most sense for off-grid areas where the economics are compelling and the need is great, said the news item.
