NLC India incorporates subsidiary for RE projects

The subsidiary aims to reach 5 GW capacity by 2030.

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) launched its new wholly-owned subsidiary NLC India Green Energy Limited which will be mandated to handle the company’s renewable energy projects.

In a statement, NLC India said the subsidiary will take up its two gigawatts of renewable energy projects under implementation which include a 600-megawatt (MW) solar project in Gujarat and an 810 MW solar project in Rajasthan.

“The newly-incorporated company will take care of planning, participating in upcoming RE tenders, tendering, execution and commissioning of Renewable projects,” Shri. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL said.

He added that the new subsidiary targets 5 GW capacity by 2030, contributing to carbon emissions reduction.
